FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How do I use the product?
A: Shake it.  Spray it.  Wipe it.  Shake the bottle gently, spray the surface to be cleaned, wipe the surface down.

Q: Will you be coming out with any other new products?
A: Yes! We're working hard to create and test new products in our lab. Check our website often and follow us on Twitter — it'll be the first place you'll hear about our latest news and products!

Q: Can I use this product on everything?
A: The base of this product is vinegar, and vinegar can damage marble, unsealed stone, computer screens and a few other porous surfaces. Make sure to test every surface with a little bit of C is for Clean before you clean everything with it. We use this solution on most surfaces, including mirrors, hardwood floors, upholstery, table tops, sinks, cutting boards, fridges, bath tubs, microwaves, toys, car seats, cribs, high chairs, lunch bags and just about everywhere else in and outside the house!

Q: Why is the solution cloudy?
A: Because that is what natural looks like! There are no dyes or added chemicals and YES this will clean glass and mirrors perfectly! Chemical emulsifying agents would give the product a uniform look but we prefer a natural approach through high speed mixing of the vinegar and essential oils. This manual emulsification needs no additives, but does requires a good shake of the bottle before using.  Next time you see a cleaning product that is a different colour and perfectly clear ask yourself what it is in it? Is it natural?

Q: Will I smell vinegar?
A: This product uses vinegar as the active ingredient, so it is possible that you get the slight smell of vinegar. The scent of vinegar will fade within minutes, and soon you'll be left with only the natural fragrance of real essential oils.

Q: Why is the cost higher than regular cleaners found at my local store?
A: C is for Clean is commited to using the best possible ingredients in our products. That includes bottles that are free of BHP and ingredients that are natural including real essential oils, which come at a higher cost than lower quality ingredients. We wanted to create a product that we know is the very best on the market, and the very safest for families. As well, you no longer have to buy glass cleaner, furniture polish etc. This is an all in one cleaner. Especially good for bathrooms where skin comes into contact with surfaces that have been cleaned!

Q: Why does it say ‘for external use only' if it's so good for our kids?
A: In the world of cleaning products, even the all-natural ones, a little goes a long way. Our products include highly concentrated vinegar, essential oils, and plant-based distillate to make them effective. While the small amounts left on surfaces won't be harmful, injesting these ingredients would likely make you feel very ill. Should your child ingest a significant amount of C is for Clean, contact a health professional right away.

Q: What happens if my child sprays themselves with it?
A: If your child sprays themselves with it do not despair-your childs skin will probaly turn red and then it will go away. I use this product minus the vinegar daily as a skin cleanser.

Q: What is the difference between real essential oils and a fragrance?
A: Essential oils are extracted from the seeds, roots, bark and berry of plants and are carefully refined to preserve the very thing that makes them "essential". They contain the vitamins and nutrients that keep the plant alive - the essential constituents that keep it free from disease and growing strongly. Essential oils are more expensive becuase they are REAL. It takes about 30 petals of a rose to make a single drop of rose oil. Fragrance Oils have usually been mixed with other synthetic oils or substances. Some fragrance oils can have adverse affects such as headaches and dizziness. This is due to them being impure or possibly synthetic.
